Dear Colleagues,
At the start of the COVID-19 outbreak, I said that the well-being and safety of our teams, clients and communities are Liaison’s top priorities. With the recent murder of Mr. George Floyd, I want to emphasize that this applies beyond the global pandemic, because racism is a more dangerous, even farther-reaching illness than the Coronavirus is.
The good thing is that we do not have to wait for scientists or researchers to develop a vaccine or to tell us how to eradicate racism or solve the problems it has wrought. We, at Liaison, fiercely and unambiguously condemn the systemic racism that exists in this country, and around the world, as well as the covert, overt and unacceptable intolerance and bigotry that led to murder of Mr. Floyd.
What do we pledge to do next?
Black lives matter, in this country and around the world. We must, as one, stand for the practices and attitudes that will contribute to a thriving society that is based on equal opportunity, dignity and justice for all.
We are all affected, and we are all in this together.
