By following compliance standards set by “Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973”, software products and websites assure accessibility to users with disabilities. When websites are 508 Compliant, they are accessible to all users. This means compatibility with assistive technologies, such as screen readers.
Liaison International is committed to making our on-demand enterprise applications accessible to all individuals, including those using assistive technology such as speech recognition software and screen readers. To this end, Liaison’s development process follows international best practices as outlined in Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA wherever possible.
Liaison has partnered with third party auditing firms with expertise in accessibility who assist in monitoring and auditing our compliance status. We also leverage a set of automated tools to scan our software on a regular basis as new development happens. If areas of deficiency are identified, our product development teams will address these to ensure continued adherence to best practices.
If you have encountered an accessibility issue with one of our products, please contact us by sending an email to accessibility@liaisonedu.com so that our team can provide you with assistance. In the email, please provide the following information if possible:
The Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) is a standardized form developed to document a product’s conformance with key regulations of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. Liaison has documented its current levels of accessibility across its products in the VPAT documents below. Any VPAT posted below, or anywhere else on Liaison’s website, or otherwise publicly available, shall not be construed to be included in any contract, either explicitly or implicitly, in whole or in part, absent Liaison’s express acknowledgement through language in the contract itself that such VPAT or its substantive equivalent is included.
Clients that complete the SOC 1 or SOC 2 examinations may display the AICPA SOC logo on their website and in marketing materials for 12 months following the completion of the examination. There is no fee to use the logo. Download PDF
